Design and illustration by Haley Luden

Three hour skateboard project for my packaging class done with Posca markers.
It still needs a little work around the lips/teeth and some of the paint is cracking because of the board’s weird finish, but there’s a nice little sad face hidden in the top holes. Once you see it you will never not see it.

Finished condom packaging!

Illustration for condom packaging.
The illustration used on the actual box had to be changed to accommodate some extra text, but I like this version so much more. The project will be finished next week, so get ready for some intense eighth grade penis humor.

I did this illustration over a year ago for my final project in Culture of the Blues but never  really got around to finishing it until recently. It’s a representation of several themes in Gayl Jones’s Corregidora, a novel about a 1920s female blues singer that will make you hate men, though I chose to focus on the generational transition from African to American rather than the anger-based feminism.
